You know that moment, your checking your Instagram and one of your favorite bands posts a pic of the venue they are playing at that night.. which just happens to be a couple blocks from where you “stay”, Webster Hall. It was a pretty cool moment. I’m back on NYC soil, I mean.. concrete…or whatever this crazy city is built on. That moment I just explained happened yesterday around 5:00pm, tickets were bought within minutes. Murder By Death, who I haven’t seen since Savannah Stopover Festival 2 years ago at the Jinx. I’ve been a huge fan ever since that night. Don’t let the name scare you, it’s far from anything as harsh as it sounds. They’re one of those bands that I check regularly on their website to see if they are playing anywhere near me.. not sure how I missed knowing about this show. They have a new album releasing in September..Bitter Drink, Bitter Moon. Oh yea, they have a Kickstarter page to help out with that. Go help and support and watch a hilarious video.
just happened to be at the right place at the right time for this one. the rappers/hip hoppers that played at the Studio at Webster Hall… (under the main room).. The Psycho Realm. singing a new one off their upcoming album.. explained by Adam.. “were from a small town in Indiana, there were 2 murders of 2 different girls. One poor, one rich. Needless, the rich one got a lot of media attention, the other did not. We wrote this when it was all going on.” —- a quote-ish. I THINK it’s called Hard Life? and don’t quote me on that.
seriously, gotta figure out why my audio sounds so bad—–
